During a very relaxing summer break, I was thinking about which kind of working environment we will return to in the fall. Can we return to the normal we know, or are we returning to something else? The only thing is certain – we all will need resilience in changing the way we work, our mindset, and how things get done in our working places.

Many organizations have taken a giant leap in Digital Transformation, and the need to embrace the digitalization and automation mindset has never been as important.


What is next?

I believe we in Europe are at crossroads, dealing with re-organizing work, digitalizing business processes to improve effectiveness and productivity, and addressing the ever-increasing competition from other world powers. Digitalization and automation of work and adopting an agile, digital mindset will create opportunities to build long-lasting growth also in this part of the world. It is our responsibility to ask: what can we do as Europeans to make it happen?

In our Digitalize and Automate event in September last year, we sent out a wake-up call for European companies and the public sector to join forces to grow Europe as a more powerful player in the world of digital platforms. This year, we are continuing the story and doing more.

In our event this year, we have invited founders of European growth companies to share their stories. We’ll hear examples from organizations with a digital mindset – it is not about digitalizing a form here and a workflow there – it is about digitalizing everything you possibly can.

Moreover, this year we are extending the message to students in Europe. We are offering free training to these future doers who will be the key players in taking Europe to the next level of digitalization. Increased awareness and knowledge of Service Management will help drive Europe's digitalization agenda.

These are the challenges we will answer in our annual event. Digitalize and Automate 2021 will take place on September 15th and 16th, and is going to be one of the largest European digital events focusing on digitalization and automation this year.

A fully packed agenda

Digitalize & Automate 2021 brings together thought leaders, service management enthusiasts, and students – all with the shared purpose of helping Europe prosper and grow in today’s world through digitalization & automation. We at Efecte have now started the countdown for the event – it is only four weeks away.
