Is a successful IT project a myth? |

CIOs are sick of unsuccessful IT projects that take forever and produce results that do not meet any real needs. Some of the most frequently heard complaints or beliefs are:
- Information management system -projects last an eternity
- Adapting, modifying, and customizing the information systems for a particular organization/situation/need is hard if not impossible but inevitably expensive
- If the system is customized it can no longer be upgraded
- Creating reports from the data in the system is cumbersome
