Efecte to Establish a Norwegian Subsidiary
- Aiming at Market Leadership in the Nordic Region
2006-10-26

The Finnish software company Efecte Corp. is expanding its operations in the Nordic region by establishing a subsidiary in Norway. The establishment of Efecte AS, which will focus on sales of IT Asset & Service Management software solutions, forms a significant part of the company’s Nordic growth strategy. Efecte aims to be the Nordic market leader within its sector by 2008. The company has existing subsidiaries in Sweden and Denmark.

“We expect Norway to boost our growth, since the local IT market is ahead of our home market with regard to the application of ITIL, for example. Our target is that within a couple of years, more than one-half of our net sales will originate outside Finland,” says Jaan Apajalahti, Efecte’s CEO.

The Nordic perspective is an essential part of Efecte’s operations. IT Asset & Service Management solutions provided by Efecte’s IT services are used by the IT units of various companies operating with a Nordic or international scope in different countries.

“The Norwegian subsidiary allows us to provide comprehensive IT service management solutions in all Nordic countries. We have many long-term customers who use our services in international organizations. Our expansion allows us to provide them with more comprehensive services,” says Apajalahti.

The Finnish software company Efecte has rapidly become a significant supplier of IT Asset & IT Service Management solutions in the Nordic region. In the Technology Fast 50 ranking published by Deloitte & Touche in fall 2006, Efecte was ranked among the twenty fastest growing Finnish technology companies for the second year in a row. Efecte’s solutions are used by more than 200 companies and organizations.
