Efecte Expands its International Operations
- Sakari Pihlava appointed Director of Channel Partners

Efecte Corporation, which develops IT operations management solutions, is to expand its international operations from the Nordic countries to elsewhere in Europe. During the initial phase, the firm will chart the British, Dutch and German markets with the objective of launching operations by the end of this year through its partners.
Efecte has appointed Sakari Pihlava its Director of Channel Partners and European Operations. He will be responsible for charting the European markets and Efecte’s internationalization opportunities plus developing partnering in selected markets.
“Our aim is that, in four years, one third of our net sales will come through our European partners. Sakari Pihlava has strong experience of international business, building growth and creating partner networks. Through his expertise, we can take our next steps in the internationalization of our firm,” affirms Kristian Jaakkola, CEO of Efecte.
Prior to joining Efecte, Sakari Pihlava worked for Germany’s oldest venture capital firm, TVM Capital’s, IT team in Munich, Germany, and Boston, USA. Before that, he was Director of Product Development at F-Secure and a member of its management team. Pihlava graduated from the Helsinki University of Technology with a Master of Science in Technology and holds an MBA degree from IMD in Lausanne.
