City of Espoo gets electronic ICT procurement process

The City of Espoo has built an electronic management and procurement process for ICT hardware with Efecte’s IT Asset Management solution and Nordea Finance’s AssetMaster solution. During the project, hardware supplier integration was implemented as well.
The city is reaping considerable benefits: a faster procurement process, substantial cost savings, better quality, and guaranteed security. The cost savings will amount to over four man-years. The IT asset management process, central to the electronic ICT procurement process, manages some 20,000 pieces of hardware. It provides the information for budgeting and e-invoicing and enables ready measurability of the cost savings and other benefits of the solution.
