From Diversified to Consolidated Information in a Few Weeks!

By installing, configuring and setting into production the well proven Efecte Foundation CMDB product, Veolia Transport were quickly able to consolidate essential asset management information about the entire Veolia network, along with all of their servers, workstations, printers, etc., from several diversified sources.

Fully automated routines were also established, allowing for the acquired information to be continuously updated, utilizing Efecte add-ons like ‘Active Directory Integration’ to keep track of users, locations and computers, along with the ‘Efecte Inspector’ for harvesting deeper information from each individual unit found on the Veolia network.  The automation was largely designed in close cooperation with the customers technical staff to best suit their specific needs, as it was their daily life we strived to simplify by reducing the need for several daunting manual tasks.

One compelling factor, further stressing the need for a fully functional system within a very short timeframe, was the ongoing rollout of new Windows 7 workstations, placing a severe load on the Veolia IT staff. Alleviating some burden associated with that rollout was truly welcomed by all parties involved, which clearly contributed to making this installation a great success.

Last but not least; all this was done in just a few weeks! The dedication and commitment shown throughout the customer's entire organization proved to be a great recipe for establishing exactly that solid foundation that has given our product its name!
