	Tekla has streamlined its IT management Service Desk by introducing Efecte&rsquo;s service management solutions and self-service channel. The new service management solution has boosted Tekla&rsquo;s Service Desk operations by making end-user service requests and related information available in a single system. Such requests may concern software licenses, access rights, computers or other small items of equipment.</p>
<p>
	This easy-to-use self-service channel has accelerated the ordering process for services, and equipment and the filing of support requests: all services previously ordered separately, using email forms, have now been centralized in the self-service channel. This has reduced the number of erroneous orders by end-users, since all services required for work purposes can be found in the same place. In addition, migrating to the self-service channel has improved the time management of service desk personnel; end-users no longer need the same amount of help as before in placing orders.</p>

	&ldquo;We have received positive feedback from personnel, particularly on the end-user&rsquo;s ability, in real time, to follow progress or any halt in an order,&quot; says <strong>Michael Wiklund</strong>, IT Manager of Tekla. &ldquo;In the next phase, we will introduce different language versions and expand the use of the self-service channel worldwide. This will provide the entire personnel with access to the self-service system.
